Freshers Party

The freshers party for the students of 1st year , organized by EEE Association , was held on 12th August 2014.It was held in the ESB seminar hall in the Main campus. The main motive behind the event was to make every fresher of the EEE department feel like an integral part of SRM  and acquainting them to the seniors of the department. The function began at around 1:30 p.m and ended at 5:30 p.m.  The function was attended by the students of 1st ,2nd,3rd,and 4th year. The function began with the HOD addressing the 1st years. He spoke about the branch of EEE , and wished them luck for their endeavours.

The freshers showcased their talent in various fields such as singing ,dancing ,etc. A total of about 20 performances were given in the function which were greatly applauded by the audience, and a positive response was received .The magic show by Anamitra was well presented and captured the audience’s attention. The performances by Ankan and Udayan were captivating and left the crowd mesmerized. The dance performances also left the crowd grooving to the music.

The technical team of the association also gave a seminar on the merits and perks of being an IEEE member. This was highly informative and made many students eager to join in on the association’s activities. The function was well organized by the Association. Halfway into the function refreshments were served.
